Objectives and contents:
The student should aquire the following qualifications.
To formulate engineering problems as mathematical models within
the frame of these TOPICS:
linear and non-linear (systems of) equations,
integral equations and
differential equations.
To analyse and solve these problems numerically. This includes
verifying the accuracy of the computational results.
Course form:
Semester course. Lectures and problem solving
Evaluation:
Pass/fail based on problems solved during the semester. The problems
are in the form of small projects involving programming.
