The Mads Clausen Institute for Product Innovation is part
of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern
Denmark. The Mads Clausen Institute is a fairly new
institute established 1 July 1999 by means of a donation
from the Danfoss Foundation. The Mads Clausen Institute is
named after the founder of Danfoss A/S, Mr. Mads Clausen.
The institute employs 65 people involved in research and
teaching. The institute deals with innovation on a technology,
design and business level, and organises a range of
international and Danish higher education programmes. With the
combination of research and education, and a close co-operation
with industry, the Mads Clausen Institute is an exciting work
place and study environment. Nevertheless, this is enhanced
through the small, personal and international study environment
that is characteristic of campus Sønderborg and its beautiful
waterside surroundings. In 2007 the institute
will move to the completely new university building Alsion -
www.alsion.dk. The modern
building is situated in inspiring surroundings at the harbour
front of Alssund. The Mads Clausen Institute will have the most
modern laboratory- and teaching facilities at its disposal,
ensuring optimum conditions for researchers and students. Among
other things, the new university includes clean room facilities. |
