Odense campus

With about 185,000 inhabitants, Odense is the regional capital of Funen and the third-largest city in Denmark. The city is more than a thousand years old and various museums tell about the history of Odense and of Denmark. The famous Danish poet and fairy-tale writer, Hans Christian Andersen, who among other fairy tales wrote The Ugly Duckling, was born and grew up in Odense. His life and work may be studied in museums in his birth and childhood homes.

Odense offers an active student environment with both social and professional experiences. Odense has a central location in Denmark. The city lies only within a short distance of beaches and many leisure activities are offered. It takes only one hour by train to Copenhagen (trains part every half-hour) or approximately two hours to Århus, Sønderborg or the German border.
